Loud & Clear: Another battle won

Topic: Another battle won

Date: November 25th, 2021

As I reach the 20th year on this case. I have won some battles, though this little war wages on. Now I sit in a cell, larger than the one I left behind on the Polunsky Unit, though smaller in the sense of what freedoms I am allowed. Not being able to have a radio or a typewriter is a loss. Leaving behind friends whom I had a shared understanding with, it has become all the more noticeable in my dealings with others here. People complaining about months in jail. I do not hold animus towards such persons. Each person’s struggle is a matter of perspective. Trying to explain to someone to not stress but just ride it out a few more months, it is simple to say, hard to do. It is easy for me to say, but hard for them to hear. I have done twenty years fighting to live, a day away from free life is too much. The days here are only stressful to me as I am so close. I can hear the trains pass by coming from somewhere, going everywhere. I just want to be anywhere but locked up. More so that I can have a real pencil and not this made for a three-year-old flexi pencil they allow us here.😡 To be able to tie a pencil in a knot should defy Newton’s 6th law or something. In prison I can have pens, pencils, typewriter, and etc. Needless to say, the fact that I have to use a rubber pencil to write, it has put a damper on my writing. The low life that invented this device from the Spanish inquisition to torture authors. The miscreant could not even have the decency to put an eraser on it. No, I had to buy one from commissary. Score 1 for crony capitalism.

Anywho. People always ask how I feel. I’m not excited as I am still in jail. Still more battles to fight. I do miss being able to talk to friends I left behind. I feel more anxious about the future than I did when I had my execution date. Maybe I just never fully accepted that they would kill me, who knows what goes on with my brain.. I sure don’t 😄 It has been a blessing that people are still supporting me and helping. Many people wait until a person has an execution date before helping. It is usually far too late by then. Maybe the drama of the countdown to die gets better ratings. Consider the amount of people that watch Tiger King. It is clear that people do love the combo of a train wreck and drama.

As I wrap this up, I extend a thank you to all. Please continue to help.
Till next time,
Take care, smile, and strive for all that you desire.

Veni, vidi, vici,

In solidarity, I remain
