This will be a long one, I have a lot to say. I figure that I will start with a flashback moment before I dive into politics and all that assorted chaos.

With Halloween being on Saturday this year it works out perfect for the parties and trick or treating. Sadly though many kids aren't able to fully enjoy it due to the established fear of child predators, poison concerns and assorted evils. We are often so comsumed with what we have to watch out for that we lose focus of the enjoyment of events.

One of my most memorable Halloweens is from the year of 1996. I was living in North Carolina. My girlfriend at the time, which was Randi, her mother and step-father along with myself all went to this Halloween event.I believe that her sister was with us as well. The event was a haunted cave. In that region of the US there are many old abandoned miner caves.

When one thinks of a miners cave you think of deep drops and etc! I, like most people, don't enjoy falling, so I had a natural un-ease going into the cave. It was dark all through it! They had this foam cushion on the floor that made walking un-steady. The shafts that went down into the earth was were to the left and right of the path that we had to take, covered only with a hanging tarp or sheet.

Now I am so focused on NOT going the wrong way and falling down a mine shaft and trying to concentrate on the task, that when one of the scare tactics take place it made me jump. When I threw my hands up one of them hit Randi right in the eye, knocking out her contact. So here I am walking through a cave trying not to fall, getting made fun of for getting scared in the first place and Randi is chewing me out for knocking her contact out. This wasn't actually on Halloween day.

On Halloween night, I got jumped by a street gang! I was walking with a friend of mine who insisted that we walk around to the large crowd gathered in the middle of the street. I of course announced how I wasn't walking around  anyone! I noticed a couple of guys from school, one of which I didn't like. Small talk was made, a guy sneaked me from the side and hit me with an egg in his hand. I made a joke about it and started laughing. This was only a diversion tactic. As while everyone was looking at me like I was crazy, I stopped laughing all of a sudden and told my friend to run. At the time he was like one of the star athletes for our class, so ran he did! I let him get a couple of steps and I turned to go, but got surrounded. After it was all said and done, I followed my friends path and found him at Mcdonals drinking a coke. When I walked in he said "So how did it go?" I replied "Wonderful, couldn't have been better!"

Later that night I went home. Then I had to listen to my dad yell at me for being late and not calling the exact time he wanted me to. So I went to explain the events of the nightand how I was kind of busy trying not to get my face kicked in. My dad being the asshole that he is, just replied that I was grounded, and how I deserved to get my ass kicked for not calling. So needless to say the Halloween on '96' was the most eventful one of my life.

Now on to business. I got some fire in my chest over some recent articles about the Willingham case. In the Houston Chronicle, Oct 16, 2009, there is an article in the city and state section titled "Willingham Confessed." Now kudos to The Chronicle for covering the story on a regular basis and keeping heat on Rick Perry! They have to be balanced and print the good and the bad.

In this article though, there is a common theme. People could read it and say "Oh my God, he was guilty." But you have GOT to look deeper to see the bullshit for what it is.  I Noticed that Willingham's ex-wife didn't say ANYTHING directly. It is her brother that is saying everything and he happens to be a former COP! In the article a neighbor said he saw a man flee the house. He didn't say TODD WILLINGHAM fled the house! He says he saw a man. Well why did he wait 18 years? He states that he was rebuffed when he first told cops. Well none of the other neighbors were back then, so why would he be?  Unless he knew something that proved Todd didn't do it! However in the article the man is hinted to be Todd. So now all these years later, it comes up? In the state of Texas, it is against the law to NOT report a crime or the events surrounding a crime, if you have that information.

Another key factor, Governor Rick Perry goes on and one about Todd's former lawyer saying that Todd was guilty and such in other news stories. Okay, ask yourself this, just what kind of lawyer would do something like this, to the degree that Todd's did? How foul is that? Also Todd trial lawyer was a state trooper before he became a lawyer. A COP! Also the lawyer is no fire expert. He says to the media that he had seen the house and knows it was started as the arsen experts in the beginning stated. So this washed up former cop, who is now a backwoods, hillbilly, redneck lawyer, knows more about arson investigations then the worlds leading experts? A man that the US Government depended on to develop military tools that helped to make us one of the mightiest militaries in the world! So this washed up hick is going to know more then the 9 other experts who all say the same thing?!

Former lawyer-A COP! Wife's Brother- A COP! First off the wife's brother's statement is not even admissable in court. It is hearsay! If she had told him that Todd confessed then the prosecuter would have gotten a statement from her at the time. Also think of this,  if she had they had a visit when Todd had an execution date. For security reasons, anyone with a date is closely monitored and the visits are recorded. At the very least they are listened to.

Where is the recording on this so called admission of guilt? I know they listen! Jasen Busby had a date, and I was on death watch for security reasons. There was a management cell that I was housed in. It is sealed up and has plexi glass on the door. They wanted me to be isolated from the rest of the people that were protesting death row, back then. I couldn't get out of my cell as I was on cell restriction, so I couldn't get to the dayroom. I wanted to jack the dayroom. This means to refuse to leave the dayroom when told by guards, because I wanted them to have to suit up and gas me and run in on me. It's called use of force, which is what the video's are of, on my site.

Visits on Saturdays are on second shift. What they used to do was; the pod officer's would take the inmate with a visit and get him dressed and put him in the dayroom, so the escort officers could just come on the pod and quickly offendor and escort him to his visit.

So I had Jasen Busby tell his (then) wife to call up here and act like my sister and plan a Saturday night visit, so I could get in the dayroom and refuse to leave. A way to have a calculated, elaborate, protest scheme!  I also told Jasen NOT to tell his wife why I was doing it, which he did anyways! They were listening so I didn't get my visit scheduled when she called and they also changed the procedure. This was the LAST weekend they every put us in the dayroom for visits on Saturday night!

When a person has a date and gets a visit they even write down the food that he eats out of the vending machings!! So if Todd said this it would have been heard and the prosecutor would have known. Yet nothing has been mentioned. Also if Todd had this deep conversation with his wife and all was made well, then why would they he yell and cuss at her when they killed him?

Also in all of her previous words from the "New Yorker," and on, she never says anything about coming to see him. He even talks about having not seen her. Saying that she went to the court house and looked through all the records and thought that he was guilty so she never spoke to him again! 

So you all see the tactics they are trying to use to cover it all up? But here is the beautiful thing about it all. IT DOESN'T MATTER. It doesn't matter if he was guilty or not, what matter is the rights afforded under the law. What matter is that this is a country that was founded on the rule of law, NOT a law of rule!
 
These so called morality superior right wing politicians have this belief that if a person is guilty they don't deserve any rights. They don't deserve a fair trial. They scream like all hell if you try to mess with their right to own a gun. They praise the second ammendment. Yet when it comes time to put forth the 5th, 6th and 8th ammendments, those dont matter. The reality is that there is NOTHING that proved todd was guilty. Only neighbors talking about how he acted, not that he started the fire! However they only changed their story AFTER being told that he started the fire, by the cops! At that point they saw him as evil, so they wanted to punish him for what happened to those kids. So their words are tainted. As they changed their stories. The former lawyer has to demonize Todd. As if Todd was innocent, then HE as a lawyer, screwed up!

Hopefully the media doesn't give up on this story. See Texas law is like a wild maze. There are over 2000 felonies on the books. In Texas it is against the law for a jury member to testify in a hearing in post conviction, about any evidence that would have convinced them to no convict someone. The prosecutor in my case is trying to say we cant use the jury members statement, where he states he would have not convicted me had he known all the new evidence I have, because its against the law here. Yet the courts say, in order to get a new trial a defendant has got to show that the new evidence would have altered the outcome of the trial. I GOT THAT! I can prove that the outcome would have been altered! Yet I can't use it??!! In Texas a jury member can't say that he/she wouldn't have convicted a man had he/she known new evidence. Yet in Texas it is perfectly legal for a parent to watch hard core porn with their kids! Even if they are only 8 or 9 years old! So in the great state of Texas you can sit in your living roo, with your 6 or 7 year old kids and watch some gang bang porn video, but a jury member can't testify so that an INNOCENT man doesn't get executed, about how new evidence would have convinced them to vote not guilty!!!!!!!!!??? Now I might be alone in this, but I see something very wrong with this picture!

Think I am lying about the porn?? LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!!!! There is a story in the media about it now! The law about the jury members is ONLY in place to make it harder for a death row inmate to get a new trial! That is it!!!!!! It's to tie our hands in the appeals process! Though I have to really wonder what law maker pushed for it to be okay for a parent to watch porn with their kids!!  More so all the ones that voted to make it legal!  The problem with exposing the flaws of the system when it comes to the death penalty is due to how overwhelming it all is. There are so many laws, so many cases pending, so many executed,  that it is hard for reporters to shift through it all. If a reporter or law school would take a year to just really go through as much as possible, a report could be done that would bring this to a screeching halt.

I am now trying to get a documentarian to do a film on numerous factors in not just my case, but many others that I know about that will help show the reality of this system. I haven't been able to locate one yet. As it takes time and money.

Anyways, it is a shame at the totalitariam tactics that are being used to cover up an innocent man getting killed. Though I guess that is why Texas gets posted right beside Iran, China an Pakistan when the annual "executed" list comes out every year.

Think about it, and always look deeper. It is truley scary at the direction that our officials are moving. The people have to speak up.
