Ann Coulter is a conservative spokeswomen.  That would be the simplest classification of her.

As she blogs, speaks and authors conservative based material.  Controversy does indeed follow Ms. Coulters views.  I can appreciate her wit and style.

Most of her shocking comments are simply an expression of her personal opinion tied in with her sense of humor.  The punch line seems to be the liberal medias reaction, as she calls them.  I can imagine the Liberal politicians that want to enact the fairness doctrine.  When they write the bill, wishing that they could add the words “this bill is to cover all journalist with the exception of Ann Coulter, who is forbidden by Federal law from speaking or writing period!”

Being a women in a male dominated arena causes her spotlight to be even brighter.

When it comes to politics, I enjoy the sounds of both sides.  Some choose to live in a bubble.  I feel that this is a disservice to self.  I do not believe that as a people we should be forced to get both sides of a political view point.  If it is my desire to listen to conservative radio, then I control the ability to.  I as well can flip to the next station and listen to liberal radio.  Some politicians want to make it so that a show will have to carry both view points.

I listen to Rush Limbaugh just as I listen to Al Sharpton.  Regardless of your political views, I feel that if you enjoy keeping up with politics, as I do, then you will enjoy the book “Guilty.”

“Guilty,” is mostly an ongoing attack on the “Liberal Media.”  While it is true that all media has some sort of agenda, I feel that Ms. Coulture steps to far by indicating that an opinion editorial of one newspaper speaks for the entire liberal media as she does the “New York Times.”

As a matter of fact, the “New York Times,” is written about or mentioned in “Guilty,”  more than any other subject. The views of Ms. Coulter are clearly shaped by a Christian influence. With a fire and brimstone rhetoric that causes one to envision her sitting in the front pew of a church in the south, that sits at the end of a dirt road deep off in the woods of Southern Mississippi.

With a red faced preacher yelling “An eye for an eye!.”  Though refusing to point out to his congregation that Moses, whom wrote a great part of the bible, killed an Egyptian in a fit of rage.  As well as that Paul who as well wrote a great part of the bible, from prison for that matter, did as well cause the deaths of many.

Parts of the book that I agree with, in whole, is how the Liberal media obsesses over Sarah Palin.  Accounts of the activities of her family has even been published in “Star Magazine,” a celebrity magazine!! These very attacks are what have allowed Sarah Palin to become a political star.

In some cases ignoring your enemy is better than attacking them.  Another element from “Guilty,” that I agree with is Ms. Coulture’s views on personal responsibility for girls.  I don’t agree with the harshness she displays towards single mothers. More so when it is a Christian based conservative that scream the loudest in opposition to sex education in schools.

Though young women and girls, should take more personal responsibility in the relationships that they have.  Namely by using birth control and making their boyfriends wear a condom if they have sex.

Humans act based on conditioning.  What color is the US flag?  Almost all will say “Red, white and blue.”  Why not say white, red and blue?  We are conditioned to speak it as that term as it is what our teachers say.  So if sex-ed was in schools then it could help condition a girl to have more courage to refuse the pressure to have sex with her boyfriend.  As well as if she does to make sure that she is fully protected.  I do strongly agree that abortion is NOT a form of birth control and that girls should take more precaution to insure they do not get pregnant in the first place.

Bottom line: Taking the good with the bad, if you enjoy keeping up with and seeing both sides of politics, “Guilty,” is worth the time.
